The Shimano S-PHYRE RX910 is the flagship gravel race shoe, built to bridge the gap between the RC903 road shoe and the XC903 mountain bike shoe. It suits gravel racers and bikepackers who want road-level power transfer and still have to walk the odd section.

The carbon midsole is rated 12 out of 12 on Shimano's stiffness scale, the same as the RC903 and a step up from the RX801 at 10. Seamless construction keeps the stack height low. The headline is the new Pontoon Cleat System: two replaceable TPU blocks that move with the cleat to increase the contact area with the pedal, adding stability regardless of cleat position and giving you something to walk on. Widely spaced TPU lugs shed mud, and drainage holes at the forefoot and heel clear water after a crossing while venting on hot days. Dual BOA Li2 dials adjust in both directions on the move, and an anti-twist heel cup holds the heel under load.
