The Schwalbe Aerothan Allround is the gravel and all-road version of Schwalbe's TPU inner tube, covering 37 to 50mm tyres at 61g each. It replaces butyl with thermoplastic polyurethane and takes around 180g off a bike compared with standard Schwalbe tubes.

The whole tube including the valve is TPU, so it is fully recyclable. The material resists sudden air loss rather than tearing, and it holds its shape at the low pressures gravel riding calls for, which is where a conventional tube starts to feel vague. Rolling resistance sits closer to tubeless than to butyl.
