The Reserve 48|53 GR is the widest gravel wheelset Reserve has built, and it was raced by Cannondale Factory Racing at the Nové Město World Cup before it went on sale. It suits gravel racers running big tyres who want the aero gain without the handling penalty of a deep front wheel.

Depths are staggered, 48mm front and 53mm rear, so the shallower front stays predictable when the crosswind gets up while the deeper rear does the aero work. The rim measures 30mm internal and 44mm external, wide enough that a 45mm tyre sits square on the bead instead of tapering in above the rim. Reserve's hollow hook construction removes material from the outer rim without giving up pinch flat protection, which is how a rim this size still comes in at 1,528g for the pair on DT Swiss 350 hubs.
