The Profile Design RM Cage is the bottle cage built to work with Profile Design's rear-mount hydration systems, where a standard cage tends to let go. It suits time trial and triathlon bikes running bottles behind the saddle.

Bottles mounted behind a saddle take a different kind of abuse to bottles in a frame. They sit further from the centre of the bike and get shaken harder over every bump, which is how riders lose them. The RM Cage grips more firmly than a standard cage for exactly that reason. It also works as a normal frame cage if you want the same secure hold on a rough gravel course.
