We fit a lot of gloves in the shop and these are the ones our racier customers come back for. Enough padding to take the sting out of coarse chip roads without dulling the feel of the bars.

The MAAP Pro Race Mitts are short-finger summer gloves built for race pace. They suit riders who want grip and a little padding without losing feel through the bars.

The palm uses a thin synthetic suede with strategic padding at the pressure points, so you get vibration damping without the numb, spongy feel of a heavily gel-padded glove. A perforated stretch upper keeps the hand cool, and a terry thumb panel handles sweat. The pull tabs make them easy to get off with sweaty hands.

Between 2 sizes, take the smaller for a race feel or the larger for comfort.

Circumference: measure around your hand at the widest point, just below the knuckles, not including the thumb.

Length: measure from the base of your palm to the tip of your middle finger.

Questions we get asked

Can I return it if it doesn't fit?

Yes. Let us know within 14 working days and send it back new and unused. Return postage is on you. If you're not sure of your size, call us on 09 376 4447 or come in and try it on first.

Can I try MAAP on before I buy?

Yes. The MAAP stock shown online is at our showroom, 348 New North Road, Kingsland. We're open 9am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is a flat $15 anywhere in New Zealand, and free on orders over $150. You can also pick up free from our Kingsland store. Choose Pick Up at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

We aim to dispatch within 2 to 3 business days, and you'll get tracking once it ships. If something is held up, we'll email you.

How should I wash it?

Machine wash cold, skip the fabric softener and hang it to dry. Check the care line on each product for anything extra.
