The Bontrager Side Swipe is a side-entry bottle cage for frames where a bottle will not come out the top. It suits small frames, full suspension bikes and anyone running a frame bag.

The bottle enters diagonally rather than straight up, which is the whole point. A frame bag or a short seat tube leaves no clearance above the cage, and a conventional cage becomes unusable. Mounting holes are slots rather than round, so you get some vertical adjustment to fine tune the fit. Left and right versions exist, named for the side you reach from when the cage sits on the down tube.
