The Melee V2 is ENVE's second-generation road race bike, and this time it's all racer. ENVE set out to improve weight and aerodynamics together, so you no longer have to choose between a climbing bike and an aero bike.

Development ran at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas wind tunnel at Silverstone with aerodynamicist Simon Smart, tested with a rider on board and bottles fitted. Frame, fork and seatpost surface area is down 7.5%, and ENVE measured the complete V2 system at 17 watts faster than the original Melee at 50km/h. A 56cm frame in UL Black comes in under 800g, and a 56cm SRAM RED build reaches the UCI's 6.8kg minimum.

The changes under the paint are practical ones. A threaded BSA bottom bracket replaces T47, the rear end moves to UDH, and a smaller headset trims bulk from the front. The new aero seatpost uses a two-bolt rail clamp. On the 56 to 60cm sizes, stack drops by 5mm for a lower front end.

Available as a frameset or complete build. The V2 is built for tarmac, with 2mm less tyre room than the original and a fork limited to 160mm rotors. Bar width, stem length and saddle position all need choosing, so book a fit with us before you order.
