The Fray sits between the Melee and the MOG. It takes the Melee's design cues but trades a little pure speed for versatility, which makes it the ENVE for riders who see every route as fair game rather than choosing a bike per surface.

Frame and fork are ENVE M.O.D carbon, 900g in a size 56 painted without hardware. Tube shapes were developed in CFD and the wind tunnel to complement ENVE's SES rim profiles, and the IN-Route System runs wires and hoses through bar, stem and headset. Geometry is optimised around a 31 to 35mm tyre, with clearance to 40mm on a 1x build or 38mm on a 2x. The down tube houses the Cargo Bay, an integrated storage compartment holding two bags and 0.6 litres, which is where the repair kit and a wind vest live rather than in your pockets.

Key features

  • ENVE M.O.D carbon frame and fork, 900g in a 56
  • Cargo Bay in-frame down tube storage, 0.6 litres
  • Seven frame sizes with four fork rakes, matched to size
  • IN-Route System with fully internal routing
  • Threaded T47 inboard-bearing bottom bracket
  • Tyre clearance to 40mm on 1x, 38mm on 2x
  • Top tube and down tube accessory mounts

Handlebar, stem and seatpost are chosen individually rather than bundled by size, so a fit session is the right place to start. One compatibility note: the Fray takes all electronic groupsets and 1x drivelines, but the only mechanical option is Shimano 2x.
