Cervélo R5-CX

The R5-CX is Cervélo's cyclocross race bike, developed with Marianne Vos and Wout van Aert and since ridden to back to back world titles by Fem van Empel. It draws its tube shapes from the R5, with handling and fit specific to cross. Four sizes, 51 to 58.

The D-shaped seatpost runs a double clamp, which Vos and van Aert asked for so the saddle stays pointing forward after a crash. Cables route internally and the frame takes electronic drivetrains only, which keeps grit and water out of the shifting. The BBRight cups are threaded into a T47 shell, so servicing uses standard inboard and outboard T47 parts. Mud clearance is generous.
